A tournament with a different prize for each team is actually a pretty cool concept. I seem to have neglected to point out that Spikey Dave was participating on the same team as Chansey in the player colour section.
Sandy using the viewport meant that it couldn't do regular PB style tournaments where two groups were side by side, and then interacted with each other along the way, which is a shame - That's a fun gimmick of the format - but it does make the tournament easier to read, at least.
Tournament Battle 1
This has the major problem of... There aren't any jokes in it. There's comedy potential of rendering iconic scenes from franchises in the PB format, but... Only if you distort those scenes via humour, as Red did wonderfully with Star Wars very early in its run. This, however, I... Failed to make it funny.
Tournament Battle 2
Opening with a modified motto is cute, but would probably have worked better had I committed to the bit more, and had Imposter Joy's added lines make them rhyming triplets outside of the last line.
Oh, I apparently stole a joke from a licensed pokemon newspaper strip and acknowledged it via an advertisement gag.
I like the beginnings of James' dissolving sequence, with the riff on the evolving Narration text, but it feels like I should have committed to the bit more - Instead of ending it with "JAMES is FULLY DISSOLVED!" it probably should have been "JAMES dissolved into WATER!" (or digestive fluid or however grotesque I decided to make it), with no real changes beyond that. Comedy body horror, either way.
I also like that Psyduck stuck around while everyone else ran away on account of the Narrator deciding to be absolutely terrifying because it's Misty's Psyduck - And also made for a neat way of circumnavigating how horrifically complicated a 4v6 where some of the participants were sending out multiple pokemon would have been to write.
I do not like the typo in the tournament text, however - "are new team" indeed.
Tournament Battle 3
This has the idea of someone accidentally sending a literal star into battle, which is utterly ridiculous and while I don't think it would fit what I'm doing with Sandy now fits in nicely here, I think.
Some light gags, and some heavy references, I quite like how Chansey gets zero translation but the Narrator just runs with what it's doing as if it were calling out attack names rather than going with the usual pokemon translation gags a lot of versions have done.
Not sure I like how this battle was cut short, since it was a lot more manageable.
Tournament Battle 4
This getting resolved due to one of the participants fainting at the ludicrousness of Misty's Psyduck defeating the Narrator by a technicality works nicely. Another pass pun, and again not one that does anything aside from being a joke.
There seems to be a gag that the final battle within the tournament wasn't long enough to develop that while the Narrator can understand Chansey clearly when saying its name, it finds Psyduck's "Psy?"s incomprehensible, which is a shame the brevity of this battle prevents that from going anywhere.
